Brian Michael Bendis is a name that could be synonymous at Marvel. He created Ultimate Spider-Man, the characters of Miles Morales and Jessica Jones, and has been one of the standing pillars of their creative teams. His work over at Marvel has been legendary and I would have never thought in a million years that I’d be writing that he’ll be moving his efforts over to DC.
It seems that he signed an exclusivity deal at DC (direct competition) that means he can only create DC titles and usually Valiant and Image and Dark Horse are allowed as well; but certainly not Marvel. This probably is the biggest blow being dealt to the publisher and if a titan of the industry like Bendis can fall; I’m scared to see what happens next.
All that being said, I couldn’t be happier for Bendis and I’m excited to see what he has up his sleeve. Stay Tooned as more Marvel/DC news comes out here at DFAT!
