Jonathan got a letter in the mail. It was a rather threatening letter, “WE KNOW WHO YOU REALLY ARE.” This shook Jonathan. He was certain he had taken the right precautions hiding his true identity from the world at large. The strangest bit was at the bottom of the letter. It was an address. After just a little searching on the internet, he discovered it was the address of a local hotel, a hotel that was hosting an “Oddities Convention”. Jonathan thought he should make an appearance.

Generation X #3 (Marvel)

Christina Strain (W) Amilcar Pinna (A)

Not 100% about this series. In fact, this may just be my last issue of this comic. The art is wonderful, but it isn’t keeping my attention as well as I’d like.

Hulk #7 (Marvel)

Mariko Tamaki (W) Georges Duarte (A)

Finally got a Hulk out, but it may be too little too late. Unless this issue does a little better to convince me, this may also be the last issue for me.

There’s Nothing There #2 (Black Mask)

Patrick Kindlon (W) Maria Llovet (A)

This comic is strange. I like it. You should like it too. So go. Do what I told you.

Black Cloud #3 (Image)

Jason Latour (W) Greg Hinkle (A)

This series has some fucking great ideas. Seriously, this comic could ramp up and be one of the best things out there. The only reason it’s so high on the list is that I’m still trying to figure out what’s going on in the world.

Old Man Logan #25 (Marvel)

Ed Brisson (W) Mike Deodato (A)

New creative team. I am sad, but also hopeful. I’ll keep reading. I like this team too, so we’ll see what’s up.

Justice League of America #8 (DC)

Steve Orlando (W) Felipe Watanabe (A)

Fuck, the trajectory for this comic has been awesome. I really look forward to seeing where it goes next. This team is solid.

Jimmy’s Bastards #1 (Aftershock)

Garth Ennis (W) Russell Braun (A)

Look at that team. Tell me you don’t want to read this. Come on. Tell me.

Detective Comics #958 (DC)

James Tynion IV (W) Alvaro Martinez (A)

A little Azrael mini story? Maybe, maybe not. If it is, then I’m totally down. If not, just as down.

Ms. Marvel #19 (Marvel)

G. Willow Wilson (W) Marco Failla (A)

Something dark this way comes. Man this girl has Peter Parker syndrome. Marvel loves to shit on her life. Makes for a good comic though.

Thanos #8 (Marvel)

Jeff Lemire (W) German Peralta (A)

SUPER TEAM UP WITH THANOS. WHAT COULD GO WRONG?

Copperhead #14 (Image)

Jay Faerber (W) Drew Moss (A)

This is a comic that packs a punch every issue. It’s definitely worth your time, and if you jump on now, you get to skip the long fucking break that the rest of us had to deal with.

Wonder Woman #24 (DC)

Greg Rucka (W) Bilquis Evely (A)

Fan-fucking-tastic comic. Fan-fucking-tastic movie. Wonder Woman is on a god-damn role. Keep it the fuck up, please.

Dark Days: The Forge #1 (DC)

Scott Snyder (W) Jim Lee (A)

Holy shit guys. It’s here. You have my permission to get way too fucking excited.

Manifest Destiny #29 (Image)

Chris Dingess (W) Matthew Roberts (A)

Always one of my favorite comics. Seriously, I hope more people are talking about this one and I just don’t see it but damn. Every issue is an amazing experience. Come on. Read it.

When he entered the hall, Jonathan instantly felt guilty and like he had finally found a home. “People” walking around as sickening creatures, animal-human hybrids, angels, aliens, a couple demons. It was an extravagant showcase of the world beyond the veil. A few of the creatures turned and looked at him curiously. He was in his day-clothes, white male with a stagnating day job. It was only moments before he tore off his human uniform and joined the extraordinary.
