Catlyn was leaving Jim. I am Jim. Catlyn is leaving me. My therapist thinks that I have difficulty grounding myself in the present. Something is always pulling my strings, pulling me away from the current and into another place. That’s what my therapist says. Catlyn is leaving me for my therapist. I feel like it makes sense, that it is the obvious path that these things must travel. Catlyn is leaving me for my therapist and honestly, I’m fine with that.

Justice League of America #11 (DC)

Steve Orlando (W) Andy MacDonald (A)

Don’t want to drop this title, but I feel like it hasn’t had the impact that I wanted it to have. I can’t imagine I’ll follow through with the whole run unless something changes soon.

Detective Comics #961 (DC)

James Tynion IV (W) Alvaro Martinez (A)

Holy shit. Some big shit just happened in the comic. I really hope it isn’t just a red herring, and that this has some lasting impact on the title. This series continues to keep me happy.

X-O Manowar #5 (Valiant)

Matt Kindt (W) Doug Braithwaite (A)

This series is fucking bonkers. If you like space operas, this is an incredible experience. I just so happen to enjoy it, so fuck yeah.

Black Panther #16 (Marvel)

Ta-Nehisi Coates (W) Chris Sprouse (A)

T’challa goes clubbing? What’s not to love. From the preview it looks like we’ll get some quality time with my personal favorite X-man. Storm is a fucking boss.

Shirtless Bear-Fighter! #2 (of 5) (Image)

Jody LeHeup (W) Nil Vendrell (A)

If you read this comic, you understand why I loved issue one. If you didn’t pick this up based on the title alone, you are probably a curmudgeonly person.

Black Hammer #11 (Dark Horse)

Jeff Lemire (W) Dean Ormston (A)

From some news circulating recently, it looks like Lemire may be the band leader for a new universe in Dark Horse’s line of books. Mignola is ending Hellboy, so I guess someone had to step up. I’m down.

Infamous Iron Man #10 (Marvel)

Brian Michael Bendis (W) Alex Maleev (A)

Big bad metal man with some intense mommy issues. All hail Doom.

Batman/The Shadow #4 (of 6) (DC)

Scott Snyder/Steve Orlando (W) Riley Rossmo (A)

This series is fucking nuts. It’s such a good idea, and they’ve captured something really cool in these pages. Plus, fucking Riley Rossmo.

Outcast #30 (Image)

Robert Kirkman (W) Paul Azaceta (A)

This comic has really been picking up recently. I can only imagine how many times I’ve said that recently. WELL, YOU KNOW WHAT! IT’S MY ARTICLE! I CAN SAY WHAT I WANT.

Thanos #9 (Marvel)

Jeff Lemire (W) German Peralta (A)

They’re doing a really good job making me feel bad for a dude who has killed multiple planets. Actually, I’ll pretty much feel bad for anyone if you pitch it to me right. I’m easy like that.

Wonder Woman #27 (DC)

Shea Fontana (W) Mirka Andolfo (A)

Not entirely pumped that Rucka is gone, not gonna lie. It’s okay the comic hasn’t suffered because of it, which is an accomplishment of its own.

‘Namwolf #4 (Albatross Funny Books)

Fabian Rangel Jr. (W) Logan Faerber (A)

I fucking love this book. I passed it up over and over, and finally someone I trust told me to give it a shot, and what do you know. I fucking loved it. You will too.

All Star Batman #12 (DC)

Scott Snyder (W) Rafael Albuquerque (A)

I really, really love the focus on Alfred in this arc. Who doesn’t love some good English sass? It has me thinking, could you do a mini series on Alfred? Maybe an Alfred of another universe? Let me sit on this idea.

Paklis #3 (Image)

Dustin Weaver (W) Dustin Weaver (A)

I am in love with Weaver’s art, but these stories and the way that this comic is set up just pushes everything over the top. This may cement him as one of my favorite creators ever.

Redneck #4 (Image)

Donny Cates (W) Lisandro Estherren (A)

This series is great. That’s all I should have to tell you. Read the book.

Saga #45 (Image)

Brian K. Vaughan (W) Fiona Staples (A)

Bet you didn’t see this one coming.

Jim, I, am sitting in my basement right now. The lighting is always a bit moody. Not that I’m moody, not necessarily. Catlyn said she wished I would emote more. She said anything would beat nothing. My therapist agreed. The last time I emoted was when Catlyn told me that she was surprised she found a partner in our therapist. I smiled. She did not. Catlyn is leaving me for my therapist, and honestly I’m fine with that, in fact, I’m happy for her.
