She strapped her virtual reality goggles to her head. Sarah made note of all of the statistics as the menu booted up. The camera in the front of the goggles briefly showed the real world around her for a moment as she chose her WorldFilter™. Outside was grey, and flat. She watched a homeless man stumble through the street. Today felt like a BANGIN’ 90’s FLASHBACK FILTER™ kind of day.

Wonder Woman #30 (DC)

Shea Fontana (W) David Messina (A)

I think Shea Fontana has done a great thing with DC Superhero Girls. I love seeing the comics in the shops, it fills me with hope. That being said, I am glad this arc is ending. I was not a fan of the last few issues. I get why it happened, and what the story means, but I just wasn’t a fan.

Justice League of America #14 (DC)

Steve Orlando (W) Ivan Reis (A)

This series drags me by a little string of hope. Every issue, I go into thinking “This will be the last one”. Then I read something that makes me curious. Dammit Orlando.

Teen Titans #12 (DC)

Ben Percy (W) Mirka Aldolfo (A)

Back at it again. I dropped this series a while back, just due to not having the space on my pull list. Didn’t hate it at all, may even pick up the trades as I get more money. I am however only picking this up for the Metal tie-in. Yup, I’m back to tie-ins….

Hulk #10 (Marvel)

Mariko Tamaki (W) Julian Lopez (A)

I really like this series. I like where it’s going and dammit I like that it’s called Hulk and not She-hulk. Fucking fight me.

Realm #1 (Image)

Seth Peck (W) Jeremy Haun (A)

This looks like an amazing idea, and the art totally caught my eye. I’m a sucker for a dope ass cover, what can I say?

Detective Comics #964 (DC)

James Tynion IV (W) Carmen Nunez Carnero (A)

Oh shit. What have they done to my boy Clayface? I swear to God, if you touch one blob on his head. I will bring a fucking fury.

Defenders #5 (Marvel)

Brian Michael Bendis (W) David Marquez (A)

Punisher vs Defenders. Where ever could they have gotten this idea???? Whatever, I’m excited about it.

Ms. Marvel #22 (Marvel)

G. Willow Wilson (W) Marco Failla (A)

As much as I love this comic, and even this arc, I kinda wish they’d move to another baddy now. I’m getting a little exhausted of series carrying villain arcs for a long time. I’m looking at you Jason Aaron.

Redlands #2 (Image)

Jordie Bellaire/Vanesa Del Rey (W) Jordie Bellaire (A)

The first issue of this series was gorgeous and fucking brutal. It’s definitely something that should be on your pull list, or atleast your trade list. But lets be real, you should be reading this monthy.

Old Man Logan #28 (Marvel)

Ed Brisson (W) Mike Deodato (A)

BEST FRIENDS FOREVER HAWKEYE AND OLD MAN LOGAN GO FOR A FUN ROMP IN A HULK INFESTED MILITARY BASE! IT’LL BE GREAT!

Babyteeth #4 (Aftershock)
Donny Cates (W) Garry Brown (A)

Promises that this series is about to get really fucking dark just make me more excited for this already awesome series. I like sad shit, sue me.

Slasher #4 (Alternative Comics)

Charles Forsman (W) Charles Forsman (A)

I’ll say it again for people who may not have heard. This series is fucking weird. Like, be prepared to not read this on the bus, or like, family dinner. That doesn’t stop me though, my neighbors already think I am a weird sex deviant.

Curse Words #8 (Marvel)

Charles Soule (W) Ryan Browne (A)

This series is seriously fun. I really enjoy myself any time I read it.

Dark Nights: Metal #2 (of 6) (DC)

Scott Snyder (W) Greg Capullo (A)

I am so fucking pumped for this series. The stakes are high as fuck, and I can’t fucking wait for it. The first issue was a cacophony of intensely awesome shit. I’m ready to dig into course two.

Mister Miracle #2 (of 12) (DC)
Tom King (W) Mitch Gerads (A)

The first issue of this comic was one of the best superhero issues I’ve ever read. It was fucking brilliant and I am even more excited for the rest of this cripplingly depressing ride.

Black Science #31 (Image)

Rick Remender (W) Matteo Scalera (A)

Only ten more issues of this comic until the end. I am both super sad and extremely ready for this. I don’t want it to go.

Kill or Be Killed #12 (Image)

Ed Brubaker (W )Sean Phillips (A)

This series really likes to fuck with you, and dammit, I’m a glutton for punishment. I will give you all of my nickels for this comic.

The mower vibrated violently in her hands. It spit up little teal flakes of grass that floated up into the purple sky. Her yard was now decorated in palm trees and the whole town had been dipped in night lights. She wore a bright puffy jacket covered in stripes of blue and teal on a purple background. She could forget the smell of destruction on the air. She could wander aimlessly in a fetishized playground. She could feel safe in her lie.
