Blood boiled behind Brandon’s eyes. Face flush with crimson life, he knew what this meant. It only happened to him every month, you think he would get used to the sharp metallic taste in his mouth. Sounds became tinny and distant as he curled against the weight of the sky. A vacant cry attempted its escape his closing throat to no avail. It was time.

I really dig this first arc. I think the way that they have treated Gotham and Gotham Girl are incredible. Everyone knows there can be only one protector of Gotham, can you convince a god-like mad man that he is not good enough to carry the mantle of Gotham’s Savior?

This last arc for this series has probably been my least favorite. I am afraid it’s stagnating a little bit. It’s been really good so far, so hopefully it picks back up. I’d hate to drop this series after the amazing stories it has told.

This series has been amazing, throughout. I know it’s hard to judge a comic on only the first few issues, but I can honestly say I will probably be sticking with this series for a while.

Want to hear a joke? SHIELD walks into a bar and everything is better off when they leave. Get it? Because they fucking suck! Apparently, SHIELD is about to break the news of Thor’s new identity to the world. That’ll go great, I’m sure.

Black Hammer 2Black Hammer #2 (Dark Horse)

So I missed the first issue completely. It was on my radar months ago, but I had long since forgotten about it. Thankfully my friends at the local comic shop reminded me just in time for me to pick it up. Let me tell you, I was far from disappointed. This series is gonna be awesome. Surprise.

Black Widow 6Black Widow #6 (Marvel)

Man, this issue doesn’t even tie into Civil War II and Natasha gots mad beef with Tony Stark. Imagine that. This series is like a cinematographer’s wet dream. The pacing of every issue is absolutely incredible. Please read this comic.

This arc is fucking awesome. I mean, that’s saying a lot because I have yet to be let down by an issue of this comic. I have to say, if you aren’t reading this, you are truly missing out on some awesome mythological beast action.

The issue everyone has been clamoring for. We get the secret never before told origin of Bandit the robo-dog. Yeah, you read right. Hold onto your pants people.

Spines tore through his skin, shredding the fabric of his shirt. His nose bone began reshaping, a series of breaks and shifts morphing it into a snout. His lips torn in half and rewoven into a cleft lip. Joints dislocating, muscles tearing and blood pulsing. Brandon was the Were-Cupine, he scuttled, dark skin and quills, into the light of his bedroom looking for various plants.
