I’m really behind on my horror news, but since it’s October and Halloween is only a week away, I’ll do some fast catching up for everyone and get them some cool news. First up today, we have news from the upcoming Dracula 3D by horror master, Dario Argento. The film stars Rutger Hauer (Hobo with a Shotgun), who is going opposite of his vampire role in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, to take on the role of Abraham VanHelsing. It seems that instead of going direct-to-video the film will get the big screen treatment from IFC Midnight. There isn’t an exact date yet, but sometime in 2013. Check out the trailer below.

Synopsis: The tale begins with Jonathan Harker, journeying by train and carriage from England to Count Dracula’s crumbling, remote castle situated in the Carpathian Mountains on the border of Transylvania. The purpose of his mission is to catalogue the big library of Dracula. At first enticed by Dracula’s gracious manner, Harker soon discovers that he has become a prisoner in the castle. He also begins to see disquieting facets of Dracula’s nocturnal life. One night while searching for a way out of the castle, and against Dracula’s strict admonition not to venture outside his room at night, Harker falls under the spell of three wanton female vampires, the Brides of Dracula.

DRACULA 3D stars Thomas Kretschmann, Marta Gastini, Asia Argento, Unax Ugalde, and Rutger Hauer.
