Well, Matt Reeves has really got a lot of pressure on his shoulders now, with the upcoming Dawn of the Planet of the Apes film. He’s just added Gary Oldman to the cast, that was previously reported to have cast Jason Clarke, and Kodi Smit-McPhee. Bringing Oldman on board lends serious acting chops the cast, and is really making this movie sound like it’s coming together.
The film takes place 15 years after the events of Rise of the Planet of the Apes and finds the human race almost wiped out by the apes. A part of the story centers around a group of scientists, with Oldman taking on the role of Dreyfus; a leader in the human colony in the sequel. Andy Serkis will return as, Caesar, king of the Apes!
The film is due out on May 23rd, 2014 and keep checking here to DFAT for more news!
