Godzilla 2 filming is underway and that means we finally get confirmation of the cast and what this movie is all about. We knew that Michael Dougherty (Trick ‘R Treat) would be taking over in the directors chair, but now we know whose all joining him; including some giant freaking monsters!
Ken Watanabe and Sally Hawkins are reprising their roles from Godzilla alongside franchise newcomers Vera Farmiga, Kyle Chandler, and Millie Bobby Brown.
The official synopsis is below:
The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.
