The Godzilla reboot is being scripted as we speak, with Frank Darabont putting on the final touches for the Legendary Pictures film. The movie will be directed by Gareth Edwards (Monsters) and has yet to get a confirmed cast. That doesn’t mean that there is no speculation. Today, we get a rumor that along with Aaron Johnson (Kick-Ass), who is in talks to lead the film as a soldier; two other actors are up for roles.
Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) is tapped to play Johnson’s step-dad in the film, and Elizabeth Olson would probably be up for the love interest. I’ll be honest with you, I love Cranston because I”m a HUGE Breaking Bad fan and he seems to be nabbing roles up left and right in Hollywood right now; but if there were NO humans at all in this movie; I’d be just fine with that. Legendary has already said that there would be numerous monsters in the film, and that’s all I really care about. Show me Godzilla getting pissed and destroying other giant creatures for 2 hours. It’s all I need.
