Though, James Bond 24 has no attached director or script finished, it has been officially announced that Penelope Cruz has been cast as the newest Bond Girl! Cruz will be nearing 40 years old next year, which puts her more appropriate for the 45yr old Daniel Craig.
Producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson have stated that they’ve wanted Cruz to be a Bond Girl for a long time, but there’s always been scheduling conflicts. I think that Cruz is a great choice. She’s smart and sexy, and if you have any doubts, check out her performance in Vanilla Sky and then tell me she isn’t a great choice.
Filming is supposed to take place next summer, so here’s hoping for a 2015 release date!
