‘Kick-Ass 2’ casting has just has just went “Balls-to-the-Wall” with casting updates. We mentioned a couple weeks ago that Jim Carrey was a possibility for the role of ‘Colonel Stars,’ leader of the superhero group, “Justice Forever”; well today we HAVE CONFIRMATION! This is great news, because I think Carrey needs something to get back to his GOOD roles, instead of the crap he’s been doing the last few years. Plus, I’ve read the Kick-Ass 2 comic, and it’s absolutely insane, and Carrey would be perfect for the role.
In addition to Ace Ventura, actors Lindy Booth (Dawn of the Dead 2004) and Andy Nyman (Death at a Funeral) are joining the cast as ‘Night Bitch’ and ‘The Tumour.’ They are both members of the SuperVillain group the ‘Toxic Mega-Cunts’ ran by Christopher Mintz-Plasse’s ‘Red Mist.’
Kick-Ass 2 is also bringing the return of Aaron Johnson as the titular bumbling teenager turned vigilante super hero. Chloe Grace Moretz and Nic Cage will also be back for this next film. It’s directed by Jeff Wadlow, from a Matthew Vaughn script adapted from the Mark Millar and John Romita Jr comic.
