The Maze Runner was one of the surprise hits of the year, and luckily it generated enough money to garner a sequel. The Scorch Trials will follow what happens to the children who escaped the Maze, only to be put through another test by the WICKED company.
We had previously announced that Game of Thrones star, Aiden Gillen, was joining the cast as an evil member of WICKED. Today, it’s been announced that Giancarlo Esposito will be one of the kids saviors from a group of survivors called the Cranks. Esposito is well-known for his role in Breaking Bad as Gus Fring, and Once Upon a Time as the Magic Mirror.
The Maze Runner: Scorch Trials is due out September 18th, 2015.
