The Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall news just keeps rolling in.  Last week we reported that Morris Chestnut (The Guardian) and Robert Emms (Insect Man) had joined the cast, and now a few more names are being added to the bunch. We have confirmation of John Leguizamo (Spawn) playing Javier, Red Mist’s bodyguard; and Donald Faizon (Clueless) will be donning the scrubs of Doctor Gravity.

Today we have even bigger news. It seems that Jim Carrey is now in talks to be ‘Colonel Stars’, the leader of the superhero team in the comic, Justice Forever. Carrey could really use a hit, after Mr. Popper’s Penguins was a giant let down. Actually, everything he’s done since Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind has been pretty lackluster. Save this creepy love message to Emma Stone seen below:

Carrey is also a pretty big Kick-Ass fan, as you can tell by looking at the picture to the right, as he serenaded audiences with Conan O’Brian.  We shall see what comes of this news, if it remains “in talks” or we get an official announcement. Either way, I’m super pumped for Kick-Ass 2. I just read it a couple months ago, and I can’t wait to see how they attempt to film a movie with a super-villain team called the ‘Toxic Mega-Cunts.’
