I’m not going to lie, I wasn’t a huge fan of the first VHS movie. I was expecting a lot out of it, given the talent behind the project; but it didn’t live up to all the hype. I was really only a fan of Amateur Night by David Bruckner; along with that, I enjoyed Chad Villella‘s 10/31/98.
It seems that there was a big enough fanbase out there, becaus a sequel that will be released later on this year. The film will feature talent from vets Simon Barrett and Adam Wingard, along with Gareth Edwards, Timo Tjahjanto, Edúardo Sanchez, and Gregg Hale.
Below there is a teaser of what you can expect in the upcoming sequel, entitled S-VHS.
S-VHS will have it’s premiere in Sundance this weekend, and will sure to get a release later this year.
