No surprise this weekend, we all knew the ‘Geriatrics With Guns Who Make Things Go Boom’ (The Expendables 2) would be the winners at the boxoffice this weekend, deservedly so too. Look what they are going up against! Honestly, I didn’t really like the first Expendables movie. It was too much talking, especially from Mickey Rourke. All I wanted to see everyone do was shoot things, but instead we had this weird thing with Jet Li talking about how he needed money for kids he didn’t have; it was weird. I will see Expendables 2, but it’s not on the top of my list. Paranorman, on the other hand, is one of my most-anticipated movies that I wanted to see this year; circumstances outside my control kept me away from it this weekend, but I will get on it as soon as possible!!!

Anywho, rounding out the top 5 this weekend was Bourne Legacy, PARANORMAN, The Campaign (Which I DID see, and was horrible) and Sparkle, which looked horrible. This was the last weekend of the Summer, and it was a weak one. 28mil for the #1 spot? What a waste. Guess it’s cool that The Dark Knight Rises passed 400mil Domestically. Oh well, least in a few weeks we can all see Resident Evil: Retribution, and have FUN at the theater again!
