Ben Affleck is on a role this year as his films Batman v Superman, and now The Accountant; have both been major wins for the actor. The latest film premiered at #1 and took in $24.7 million. While that isn’t huge numbers, it at least is a good barometer for how audiences are accepting of Affleck at the Box Office.

The other premieres of Kevin Hard: What Now and Max Steel didn’t fare quite as well. For a stand up comedy film, What Now came in at #2 and took in $11 million. Not horrible numbers, but less than half than The Accountant. Max Steel, a film that I didn’t even realize existed, on the other hand; didn’t even make the Top Ten. You can see the rest of the movies that actually did down below.

1.The Accountant $24,715,000

2.Kevin Hart: What Now? $11,984,245

Next week, we have a ton of new releases that include: Jack Reacher 2, Tyler Perry’s Boo! A Madea Halloween, Keeping up with Joneses, Ouija: Origin of Evil, and 31. They will all be battling to take down The Accountant, but if I have to put my money on one of them; it’s going to be Ouija 2. The first movie did gangbusters and it IS Halloween season after all. Will I be right? Find out on the next edition of Weekend Roundup.
