To the surprise of no one whose been watching Marvel movies over the past decade, Thor Ragnarok had another great weekend by remaining #1 at the Box Office. The film took in an additional $56.6 million and brought it’s domestic earnings to over $211 million.

The premiere of Daddy’s Home 2 also had a pretty good weekend, taking the 2nd position in the Top Ten and earning $30 million. That’s still a long ways off from it’s $65 million budget that pretty much went to pay all of the major actors; because I can only imagine how much a movie like that really needs to cost to make. The rest of the Top Ten is below!

1. Thor: Ragnarok $56.6 million

2. Daddy’s Home 2 $30 million

3. Murder on the Orient Express $28.2 million

4. A Bad Moms Christmas $11.5 million

5. Jigsaw $3.4 million

6. Boo 2! A Madea Halloween $2.1 million

7. Geostorm $1.5 million

8. Blade Runner 2049 $1.4 million

9. Happy Death Day $1.3 million

10. Lady Bird $1.2 million

Next weekend, is the release of Justice League. Given the recent twitter reactions to the film, it’s going to make a ton of money. Will it be able to take on Wonder Woman, Suicide Squad, and BvS numbers? I bet that it will; but stay tooned to the next edition of Weekend Roundup to find out if I’m right.
