Get out is currently sitting at 100% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Throughtout the weekend I received numerous texts about how great it was and I feel like I really need to get on this flick before it gets spoiled for me. That being said, the movie earned $30.5 million and took down The Lego Batman Movie. The animated flick did land in 2nd place with $19million; so don’t get too upset.
The big loser of the weekend was The Great Wall. The Matt Damon-starring Asian fighting fantasy history flick earned the 4th spot with $8.7million. This is the biggest upset of Damon’s career and a gamble that certainly didn’t pay off. You can see the rest of the Top Ten below.

Next week, expect Logan to destroy all competition and push a bunch of these lower tiered movies off of the Top Ten. The film is getting rave reviews and is being touted as the best X-film out there. I can’t wait to see how much it makes and share with you on the next edition of Weekend Roundup!
