Black Panther continues it’s reign at the Box Office for the 3rd weekend in a row as it passes $500 million Domestically and takes in another $65 million. This makes the film the 10th highest grossing film of all-time, and the second highest grossing MCU movie behind The Avengers. Not only that, Black Panther is amongst The Force Awakens and Avatar as having the highest third weekend ever!

The premieres of Red Sparrow and the Death Wish remake took 2nd and 3rd spots in the Top Ten with 2nd and 3rd place respectively. Both films were made on a smaller budget, though Death Wish could actually have more longevity with it’s budget only $30 million and it earning almost half of that. The rest of the Top Ten is below.

1. Black Panther $65.7 million

2. Red Sparrow $17 million

3. Death Wish $13 million

4. Game Night $10.7 million

5. Peter Rabbit $10 million

6. Annihilation $5.7 million

7. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle $4.5 million

8. Fifty Shades Freed $3.3 million

9. The Greatest Showman $2.7 million

10. Every Day $1.6 million

A Wrinkle in Time opens next weekend and so far the response to the film is…mixed. It’s sure to shakes things up in the Top Ten but only in losing some of the bottom films at this point. I would not be surprised if Black Panther actually takes the #1 spot for a fourth weekend in a row, but you’ll have to find out in the next edition of Weekend Roundup!
