The Avengers Infinity War train continues to chug along at an accelerated pace as it becomes the fastest film to reach $1 Billion in Box Office history. In only 11 days the juggernaut of a movie has already earned $1.16 Billion and hasn’t even opened in China. Just to compare to the last few Marvel films to open in China: Black Panther with $66 million, Captain America: Civil War with $98 million, and Avengers: Age of Ultron with $84 million (at current exchange rates). Avengers Infinity War could just top over $100 million when it makes it’s premiere this upcoming weekend.
The newcomers of the week were Overboard, Tully, and Bad Samaritan which debuted in 2nd, 6th, and 10th places respectively. They couldn’t come close to reaching the magnitude of Marvel but you can see them and the rest of the Top Ten below.
