Cars 3 managed to knock Wonder Woman down a peg as it premiered in 1st place at the Box Office with $53.5 million. The film debuted the worst in the franchise, but that didn’t stop it from being #1. Wonder Woman still took in $40.8 million and put it at $571 million Worldwide.
The big winner was actually the 3rd place film, All Eyez on Me. The Tupac Shakur biography took in $27.1 million and probably only cost that much to make. Not only this, it shows that people really are looking for more hip hop related movies. Look at last years Straight Outta Compton. The movie cost $28 million to make and went on to gross over $200 million Worldwide. You can see the rest of the Top Ten below.
