Boardwalk Empire is one of those shows that I started, loved everything about it, and then haven’t revisited it since season 1. I don’t know why this happens with me, but I did the same to Nip/Tuck and Supernatural as well. I’ll start a show, get all sorts of into it, and then forget whole season of it. Regardless, I’ll get back to Boardwalk Empire asap because this new trailer is awesome and just reminds me why I fell in love with the show in the first place.
All the actors in the show are amazing, including of course Steve Buscemi, who playsthe role of gangster, Nucky Thompson, to a key. This was a show he was meant to be on and a role he was born to play. He’s creepy, mean, sweet, and delusional all at the same time. The show is very reminiscent of The Sopranos. Buscemi channels a bit of Gandolfini from time-to-time. The show’s Atlantic City backdrop only makes the show that much more great, and with Martin Scorcese as a producer, you have a winning combo. Man, I really need to get back to this show!
