Q.U.B.E. 2 puts players in the shoes of British archaeologist, Amelia Cross, on a beautiful yet mysterious alien planet.  With the help of fellow survivor, Emma, Amelia must face the challenges of the Q.U.B.E. in the hope of finding a way back home. Q.U.B.E 2 retains the shifting, environmental puzzles of the original but wraps the action around Amelia’s own intimate story and her quest for survival.

“We’re all hugely proud of what our small team has managed to achieve with Q.U.B.E. 2,” said Dan Da Rocha, Managing Director at Toxic Games. “We’ve lived within the world of Q.U.B.E. since our time at university and to see the project germinate from its initial idea into the rich puzzle and narrative experience we see today is overwhelming. We hope players enjoy the open-ended puzzle design and emotional journey of Amelia as they unravel the mysteries of the Q.U.B.E.

Armed with a special pair of gloves that let her manipulate the environment, Amelia must navigate a monolithic structure filled with alien technologies in search of Emma Sutcliffe, another stranded scientist. Together they must find a way home. Over the course of 11 Chapters, players combine the abilities of the “manipulation gloves” with the alien architecture to solve the game’s open-ended puzzles. In a story that explores themes of trust, isolation and humanity, thought-provoking questions about Amelia’s true purpose and the origins of the structure will need to be considered, forcing her to come to terms with a devastating truth that will shake her world.
