Greetings and salutations Towelites in this, the second full week of December.
I don’t expect too many major games to come out between now and Christmas (I mean, the studios are probably off and if they release it right before Christmas that’s just more work for them, no?). However, that doesn’t stop the ever vigilant indies from producing new delights for us to indulge in.
We’ll start with one of my personal favorites that is indie but not necessarily new. The game Stardew Valley, a Harvest Moon-style farming sim is coming to PS4 and Xbox ONE. I’ve personally been playing this game almost exclusively since I got it over the summer. They also did a large new release in September that added some new content. If you’ve been waiting or think you’ll have a lot of spare time to fill in the coming weeks, I’d highly encourage you to check it out.
For those of you with a PS VR setup (i.e. not I), a game most certainly inspired by James Bond and the ilk, I Expect You To Die, challenges your spy knowledge and wit to hunt down your nemesis when those before you have perished. But you’ll probably die too, from the looks of it.
Also, Filthy Lucre, available for PC this week, looks pretty damn spectacular. It’s a tactical heist game that changes with your actions. And you can play it with a friend or go it alone. I can think of a couple of friends that I would like to bring along, likely to disastrous results.
