For the rest of us, it’s release day. And there are a LOT this week. Thinks are relatively quiet on the Nintendo front, probably because everyone is scrambling to get the Switch out next month.
Nonetheless, we’ve got a couple of cool looking titles that might strike your fancy.
For Honor, Ubisoft’s effort at a close-quarters sword fighting game combines history’s favorite trio – Knights, Samurai and Vikings. Historical accuracy aside, the graphics look pretty and I would *hope* Ubisoft has learned their lesson from the launch-day horrors they’ve inflicted on their fans in the past. You, the people, shall be the judge:
If you’re looking for something a bit more retro, Vertical Drop Heroes HD comes to consoles for your enjoyment. It’s been available on PC/Mac for a little bit, but it bills itself as a roguelike (read, everything changes every time you play so, in theory, you don’t get bored).
