Word on the mean streets of Gotham is that Batman guru and longtime friend of Ben Affleck, Kevin Smith, has seen a pic of Affleck suited up in the newly designed Batsuit that Zack Snyder will be using for his sequel to Man of Steel. Talking with the people over at the Hollywood Babble Podcast, Smith said the following regarding his (over-joyous) reaction to the suit:
[box_light]“I saw the costume. More than that I saw a picture of him (Affleck) in the costume. Now, I don’t want to give anything away ’cause that is up to them and stuff, but I am going to say this I instantly bear hugged him (Snyder). You have not seen this costume in a movie on film before, and for a comic book fan it was mind bending. I was like ‘Get out of here, only you have enough power to pull this off.’ Because everyone always like does this Matrix/X-Men black armor…It was fantastic. I’m already a flag waver for this movie but the costume, it blew my mind. I think everyone is just gonna be like ‘Holy S**!’ It’s its own thing, man. It’s like we haven’t been down this path at all. I was so elated….Even the hardest core F*** all this person will be like ‘alright, I’m ready.”‘[/box_light]

With that in mind, rumors are now spreading that the suit will be based on the look that Jim Lee made famous in books like All Star Batman and Batman: Hush or will see something like the New 52 Bats?! What do you think Towelites?? Will we finally get a blue and grey suit instead of the popular black suit that has graced the silver screen too many times, this geek hopes so!
