I knew he’d be back!! Arnold Schwarzenegger is coming full circle with a return to the franchise that started it all for him. Schwarzenegger will reprise his role just as he left it at the end of the original Conan movie, 1982’s Conan The Barbarian. Fredrik Malmberg, the CEO of Paradox Entertainment, and  writer Chris Morgan (Fast 5, Wanted)  are set to produce, Morgan would love to write the script but his commitment to the next Fast/Furious movie may not allow him to hit Universal‘s deadline. Here’s a quote from Malmberg on the movie:

“The original ended with Arnold on the throne as a seasoned warrior, and this is the take of the film we will make. It’s that Nordic Viking mythic guy who has played the role of king, warrior, soldier and mercenary, and who has bedded more women than anyone, nearing the last cycle of his life. He knows he’ll be going to Valhalla, and wants to go out with a good battle.”

Now this movie would erase all existence of the Conan sequel, Conan the Destroyer, and the reboot that starred Jason Mamoa, which I actually enjoyed. Nonetheless this film sounds like an awesome idea and I am all about it!

Stay tooned 😛
