It was only a matter of time that Disney would animate one of Marvel’s properties, and the first one will be Big Hero 6. The film follows a man who must save his city with the help of a robot, sushi chef, shape shifter, and a samurai. Not quite what you’re used to from Disney, but that’s pure Marvel action-adventure!

Today, we get news that Chris Williams is being brought in as co-director of the film. He directed Winnie the Pooh, which was adorable; but better than that, he was co-director on Bolt. That film is filled with comedy and action, which is perfect for Big Hero 6. I can’t wait to see how this project turns out!

[box_light]”The action comedy adventure follows robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada, who must save the city of San Fransokyo from a criminal plot with the help of a robot, Baymax; and Gogo, Honey Lemon, sushi chef Wasabi and fanboy Fred.”[/box_light]

As more news on the film hits, we’ll keep you posted here at DFAT!

Big Hero 6 is due out November 7th, 2014.
