The relationship had slowly fallen apart. They both saw the signs. By the end of it all they knew what needed to be done. It wasn’t painful for either of them, despite time together. Their friends were the only ones to seem surprised by the whole affair. At least that’s how it seemed.

Port of Earth #1 (Image)

Zack Kaplan (W) Andrea Mutti (A)

Our new comic of the week, and damn does it look pretty. It’s a story about extra-terrestrial contact, only these aliens just want to use Earth as an intergalactic space port. Interesting concept, could lead to some really cool comics.

Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #32 (DC)

Robert Venditti (W) Ethan Van Sciver (A)

New Metal crossover, this time with one of those lantern fellows. That’s all.

Wonder Woman #34 (DC)

James Robinson (W) Carlo Pagulayan (A)

Man, I don’t hate this series by any means, but I’m just not that enthusiastic about it recently. I mean the last two issues were pretty good. I don’t know, maybe I’m in a Wonder funk.

Ms.Marvel #24 (Marvel)

G. Willow Wilson (W) Diego Olortegui (A)

Same with this comic. Something about where its been going recently doesn’t have me itching to pick up the next issue.

Scales & Scoundrels #3 (Image)

Sebastian Girner (W) Galaad (A)

This is a solid book. I find it really enjoyable and it’s a great comic to start off someone who is just getting into comics. It’s fresh and fun and really pretty. Check it out.

Detective Comics #968 (DC)

James Tynion IV (W) Alvaro Martinez (A)

Not sure how Bat-Tim fits into the whole time travel, ominousness that is Mr. OZ, but I’m kinda digging it. I mean, Tim is the last one I thought would take on the mantle.

Moon Knight #188 (Marvel)

Max Bemis (W) Jacen Burrows (A)

New team, new villian, hopefully it kicks ass like the last few Moon Knight series have. I have very high hopes for this.

She-Hulk #159 (Marvel)

Mariko Tamaki (W) Jahnoy Lindsay (A)

New(ish) title, new Jen. That guy with the big brain is trying to crap on Jen’s parade. Yay!

Daredevil #595 (Marvel)

Charles Soule (W) Stefano Landini (A)

This feels oddly reminiscent of something that happened in one of the Distinguished Compitition’s comics. Either way, looks like Kingpin is the new Mayor of New York. That’s bound to make things interesting.

Jessica Jones #14 (Marvel)

Brian Michael Bendis (W) Michael Gaydos (A)

I don’t get it. If some purple guy came up to me, I’d just laugh at him and punch him in his stupid purple face. I don’t get what the big deal is. Maybe I’m just an idiot.

Redlands #4 (Image)

Jordie Bellaire (W) Vanesa Del Ray (A)

This series is so fucking gorgeous. I love it so much. The pages bleed with life, it’s incredible what this team has done with this idea. I love it and you should too.

Batman Lost #1 (DC)

Scott Snyder/Joshua Williamson/James Tynion IV (W) Yanick Paquette/Doug Mahnke/Jorge Jimenez/Jamie Mendoza (A)

Look at that cast of creators. This issue is going to be off the fucking chain from the hints Snyder has been dropping. I am very ready.

Injection #15 (Image)

Warren Ellis (W) Declan Shalvey (A)

Spooky shit is going down. It’s the last issue of the arc so I expect some intense shit is going to happen in this issue. Be ready for science ghosts, or something weird. You know. Fucking spooky shit.

The Archies #2 (Archie Comics)

Alex Segura/Matthew Rosenberg (W) Joe Eisma (A)

I have absolutely loved these issues. The one shot was pitch perfect and the first issue of this ongoing filled me with unbridled joy.

Eugenic #2 (of 3) (Boom! Studios)

James Tynion IV (W) Eryk Donovan (A)

The first issue of this comic was a mind fuck. It’s an amazing and you should be reading it.

There’s Nothing There #5 (Black Mask)

Patrick Kindlon (W) Maria Llovet (A)

This was a sneak attack on my heart. I wasn’t expecting to love this comic as much as I do. I will spread the gospel of this comic to the world. Starting with you. Read it.

Royal City #7 (Image)

Jeff Lemire (W/A)

This series is all the heartbreak I need in a comic. I love it so much, it makes me cry and question my sanity and hate my self and love my family and question my life. It’s brilliant.

Mister Miracle #4 (of 12) (DC)

Tom King (W) Mitch Gerads (A)

Come on. Read this book you fool. Do it for me. More importantly, do it for yourself.

Twelve weeks later, James stood at the edge of a building, overlooking the busy night city landscape. The wind was cold. It was mid October and the few trees that littered the street below were turning orange for winter. He became hypnotized by the various red, white, and blue lights of the cars waiting for something. He wondered what it was they waited for.
