Four years in one of the most prestigious schools in the country, wracking up over one hundred thousand dollars in debt, and losing many friends and family in the process. He attained a high value position in a Forbes 100 company. All of that, and Jeffery Thompson is sitting in the corner of the offices three floors down from his, crying into a potted plant. A small voice in the back of his head laughed at how his life had turned out.

Exiles #1 (Marvel)

Saladin Ahmed (W) Javier Rodriguez (A)

Not sure how I feel about this team, the actual focus of the comic. The creative team is why I am digging into this. I love the idea of a mutiversal team, so I’m hype.

The Immortal Men #1 (DC)

James Tynion IV (W) Jim Lee (A)

I am really interested in this book. So far, most of these New Age of Heroes’ books have actually captured me, so that’s cool. Hopefully this strikes the same chord.

The Season of the Snake #1 (Titan Books)

Serge Lehman (W) Marie Michaud (A)

Saw the art for this one. Come on. Totally fucking down all God damn day.

Avengers #688 (Marvel)

Mark Waid/Jim Zub/Al Ewing (W) Stefano Caselli (A)

Three more issues and this weekly stuff is done. I’ve said this before, but I may even be a little sad when this wraps up.

Dry County #2 (Image)

Rich Tommaso (W/A)

Weird first issue. I don’t know what I expected. I can dig it though, check it out.

Prism Stalker #2 (Image)

Sloane Leong (W/A)

This book is strange too. Not sure how I feel about it yet, but boy is it fucking pretty. I love comics that create strange worlds and don’t spend too much time spoon feeding you details, but instead demand you follow on your own.

Wonder Woman #44 (DC)

James Robinson (W) Emanuela Lupacchino (A)

I really dig this arc. All my hesitations about what this arc could have been were unfounded and I offer my humble appology.

No. 1 With a Bullet #6 (of 6) (Image)

Jacob Semahn (W) Jorge Corona (A)

The end of a fantastic series, and I am interested to see what happens. I think this was a solid comic soup to nuts and I really hope you check it out if you haven’t already.

Old Man Logan #38 (Marvel)

Ed Brisson (W) Dalibor Talajic (A)

I love this Mayor Fisk thing. I mean I read Daredevil, I know what happened, but I can still enjoy these other series as they explore the idea. This comic is doing an awesome job keeping me attached to the title in a time when I’m trying to drop titles.

Sideways #3 (DC)

Justin Jordan/Dan Didio (W) Kenneth Rocafort (A)

This has been an incredibly refreshing Spider-Man run. This just really shows me that sometimes we need new voices in these titles. Justin Jordan being the new voice, not Didio, he isn’t knew. He is as old as time.

Detective Comics #978 (DC)

James Tynion IV (W) Javier Fernandez (A)

I am really loving this series as it comes to a head. Well, I mean, it’s not ending, but it’s getting a new team, so this run is ending kinda. Whatever, it’s good.

Doctor Strange #388 (Marvel)

Donny Cates (W) Niko Henrichon (A)

Damnation has been pretty fucking good so far. I mean, that’s high praise seeing as I totally didn’t want to read it. Stop asking me about it. (No one asks me about it)

Eternity Girl #2 (of 6) (DC)

Magdalene Visaggio (W) Sonny Liew (A)

Scooped this on a whim. Really fucking glad that I did. The first issue was incredible and I am really excited for the rest of this series.

Oblivion Song #2 (Image)

Robert Kirkman (W) Lorenzo De Felici (A)

The first issue was very much a Kirkman #1. That’s not bad at all, I mean I know the dude has had a run of flops over the years, but he has a knack for this thing. He gave us the tip of the iceberg in the last issue and there is so much floating underneath the surface.

VS #3 (Image)

Ivan Brandon (W) Esad Ribic (A)

Come on. This book is not only absolutely gorgeous but it’s a really fucking cool idea. It’s executed expertly and dammit. It feels like a Heavy Metal comic.

Thanos #18 (Marvel)

Donny Cates (W) Geoff Shaw (A)

The series ends and fucking everything dies. I don’t actually know if that’s how it ends, but I do know the series is over.

Captain America #700 (Marvel)

Mark Waid (W) Chris Samnee/Jack Kirby (A)

CHECK OUT THAT ARTIST CREDIT. THE KING IS PART OF THIS ISSUE. PREPARE TO BE SAD ABOUT A NUMBER OF THINGS.

The Archies #6 (of 7)(Archie Comics)

Matthew Rosenberg/Alex Segura (W) Joe Eisma (A)

Okay, this issue had a printing issue last week. So, here’s my blurb from last week about it. This series is really fucking good. I think it’s suitable for everyone because everyone loves music and if you don’t, you’re nuts, but especially if you are interested in the culture of bands and their habits and business. It’s a really smartly developed series.

Deadly Class #33 (Image)

Rick Remender (W) Wes Craig (A)

THIS COMIC GOOD. READ PLEASE. This review has been brought to you by my id.

Gideon Falls #2 (Image)

Jeff Lemire (W) Andrea Sorrentino (A)

Holy hell, no pun intended, the first issue of this comic was amazing. Like mind blowing. Of course it was, look at that team.

The FBI agents made their way through the building floor by floor after a tip that Jeffery had fled after his own bosses corruption had been unveiled through leaked emails to the media. His boss got off pretty easy, having lobbed himself off of the thirty story skyscraper he illegally funded. Honestly, the FBI just wanted to talk to Jefferey, he was in no way under investigation. When the footage of him cowering behind a bush and weeping uncontrollably was released to the public, he was mocked, even memed. It is a cruel world.
