A major piece of the Constantine puzzle has been added to the upcoming show set to premiere this fall on NBC. The character of Papa Midnight, aka The Voodoo King, will be played by Michael James Shaw.
In the comics, Midnight has been both an ally and an adversary of John Constantine. So I’m sure he will walk this line in the TV series as well. He has the powers of immortality, hypnotism, and voodoo. Shaw is a relatively new face to the entertainment world, so I’m excited to see what he brings to the project. I can’t wait to see where this show takes us, and I hope that they stick with more of the Hellblazer side of things.
Constantine premieres on October 24th at 10pmEST on NBC!
