I have always been a big fan of the Aliens and Predator franchises, and have collected comics based on the two since I was young. It had been a couple of years since we have seen a story from Dark Horse based on either of the species but come this year things will be changing. Dark Horse plans on publishing ongoing series for the four main titles: Alien, Predator, Aliens vs Predator, and newcomer Prometheus. The titles will exist in the same universe and will most likely crossover at some point. Check out the cover art for the titles below!

Io9 had the opportunity to interview the writers of the four series, you can check out that full interview by hitting the jump, here’s an excerpt from the interview about how the comics will exist in a shared universe.

Io9: How much are you collaborating with the other writers to make a unified universe?

Roberson: The level of collaboration here between the writers is pretty phenomenal, actually. Chris, Paul, and Joshua are all friends of mine who I hang out with on a regular basis, but it was an interesting experience getting to sit together in one room with them and hash out the intricacies of these various characters and their individual stories, and how they would sync up and interact. When Scott brought me onboard, he described it as a “writer’s room,” which is something that I hadn’t really been a part of before. And when you factor in that we also had Patric Reynolds and the editorial geniuses from Dark Horse in the room, there was a lot of brainpower at work putting these stories together.
