Dawn of the Planet of the Apes has been going through a little bit of director malfunction lately. First, Rise of the Planet of the Apes director, Rupert Wyatt left the project. Then, Fox hand to scramble to fill the shoes on who would helm the highly anticipated sequel. Well, today we learn that Cloverfield/Let Me In director, Matt Reeves, will be taking over in the directors chair. I think this is fantastic news, as Reeves has proven himself as a solid writer/director for years now. I loved both Let Me In and especially Cloverfield; and couldn’t see a better person to usher in the impending Apepocalypse.

So, Towelites, what do you think of this director choice? Do you think he has a chance to taking on this new mega-franchise? Chime in, and let us know what you think. As usual, we’ll be keeping you posted on all Dawn of the Planet of the Apes news here at DFAT.

Thanks to ScreenRant for the heads up.
