It’s about time Barry Allen gets to be in the spotlight! And while Superman: Unbound looks entertaining and I will be picking it up, the DC animated movie I am looking forward to most is Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, based on the hit comic series Flashpoint by Geoff Johns. Ironically both movies released this summer are based on stories by Johns and for good reason. Check out the details for the Blu-ray release below and also the first still from the movie featuring The Flash and the alternate reality Batman. If you still haven’t read Flashpoint do yourself a favor and pick up the trades with at least the Flashpoint: Batman tie-in to supplement it. GREAT STUFF! Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox hits stores on July 30th!

Flashpoint Justice League animated

When time travel allows a past wrong to be righted for Flash and his family, the event’s temporal ripples prove disastrous, creating a fractured, alternate reality where the Justice League never formed, and even Superman is nowhere to be found. Amidst a new world being ravaged by a fierce war between Wonder Woman’s Amazons and Aquaman’s Atlanteans, Flash must team with a grittier, more violent Batman and government agent Cyborg to restore the continuity of Flash’s original timeline.

Stay tooned 😛
