Like Tabletop Games? Like Drinking? We’re in Luck!
Whilst perusing The Drunken Moogle, a favorite blog, I came across Drinking Quest: Trilogy Edition. They’ve also followed me on Twitter before and I thought the concept was great.
So, I bit the proverbial bullet and contributed to the campaign on Kickstarter. The game has been released previously, but the campaign will fund making some improvements to the original game (in the creator’s own words):
- Full Colour Cards
- An Improved D4, D6, D8 System (Instead of 3D6) This adds complexity to the game without adding a single new rule.
- Bigger Cards while still staying a good size to bring to the pub
- A Bigger, More Attractive Box
- Up to 3 new Quests (Consisting of 12 cards each)
- Other smaller improvements (Think remastered Star Trek not remastered Star Wars)
They’ve hit their goal, so any backers are guaranteed their promised tier rewards. Currently they are working to hit some of their stretch goals, which include additional quests in the card-based tabletop game, a bottle opener and some other really cool items.
I backed at the $41 USD tier which will secure me the stretch goals and a physical copy of the game, as well as some digital content. I’m pretty excited to see the finished project and I have a few willing vict…er participants to help me learn the game when it comes out in October of 2014.
At the time of writing this, they were closing in on their $33k stretch goal which will also get me a bottle opener. MAKE THIS HAPPEN FOR THE BOTTLE OPENER. (I’m not greedy but I’d like the cloth map as well)
