Most of the mutants featured in the previous X-Men films have been confirmed to be appearing in the ultimate sequel Days of Future Past. DOFP is looking to unite both casts of the original films with First Class in a time travel epic that only Bryan Singer and Mark Millar could bring about! Well most of the cast has returned, at least two are as of now unconfirmed, major player Storm, played by Halle Berry who Singer states:
“I can’t say. I don’t know yet. And it’s not necessarily a deal making aspect at all. I want to make sure it’ll make sense. But I love working with her.”
I am not a big fan of Berry in this role, but I wouldn’t mind seeing her return either. The other missing mutant being fan-favorite Nightcrawler, who was part of one of the coolest scenes in an X-Men film, all the way back in X2 when he assaulted the White House. Will Alan Cumming put on the blue body paint, will we see the link that was hinted at in First Class between Mystique and Azazel? Here’s what Singer had to say to the Huffington Post on that subject:
“I don’t know. We’ll see. You know … we’ll see, I don’t want to … sometimes you don’t want to say “yes” or “no” to something that may not be a “yes” or a “no,” or anything. I haven’t decided yet, a few things.”
We all know that Singer is doing his best to reunite everyone on this one, I hope that he is able to do it and that this is the greatest X-Men movie to date! There are also rumors to the usage of major CGI in the film, that one character(s) may be entirely made up of it, my bet is on the Sentinels on this one. Something that I am VERY excited for! Singer had this to say in an interview with MTV:
“But I definitely want to use this technology again, and I might even be using some of it in a different way in ‘X-Men.’ I don’t want to say how yet, but I’m definitely using some of this technology on ‘X-Men,’ which I never used in any of the other ‘X-Men’ films.”
X-Men: Days of Future Past hits theaters in 2014!
Stay tooned 😛
