It seems the universe doesn’t want us to laugh lately. First, Robin Williams passes away from a suicide, and today we lose Joan Rivers. She’s most noted for being a celebrity gossip diva on E! with her daughter Melissa, but she’ll always be Dot Matrix from Spaceballs to me. She was bitterly hilarious and though she was 81 years old, you could never tell. She openly promoted plastic surgery and her stint on Nip/Tuck and other cameos, were the stuff of legend. It’ll be sad to see her go, a true artist in her craft.
