We’ve been waiting forever for Valiant to start their cinematic universe and the time is finally here. Sony Pictures has released the first official trailer for their Bloodshot movie starring Vin Diesel. He’ll be taking on the role of Ray Garrison, a soldier injected with nanotechnology that makes his skin white and can heal instantly. Why did the government do this to him? Let him take a bloody path to find out.

If this wasn’t a Sony Pictures release you’d have me excited. Also, the fact that they said they’ll be moving their other movie franchise, Harbinger, to a different studio has me…concerned. All that being said, I can’t wait to see the movie and I truly hope its epic.

Here’s the official synopsis:

Based on the bestselling comic book, Vin Diesel stars as Ray Garrison, a soldier recently killed in action and brought back to life as the superhero Bloodshot by the RST corporation. With an army of nanotechnology in his veins, he’s an unstoppable force –stronger than ever and able to heal instantly. But in controlling his body, the company has sway over his mind and memories, too. Now, Ray doesn’t know what’s real and what’s not – but he’s on a mission to find out.

BLOODSHOT is the first movie based on a Valiant Entertainment hero. Directed by Dave Wilson (Love, Death & Robots), Sony’s BLOODSHOT stars Vin DieselEiza González, Sam Heughan, Toby Kebbell, and Guy Pearce. The comic book character was co-created by Kevin VanHook, Don Perlin, and Bob Layton.
