I’ve been following the film-adaptation of James Wong‘s book, John Dies at the End,  from director Don Coscarelli (Phantasm) for a long time now. It’s been pushed back for such a long time, that’s it’s hard to believe that it’s finally coming out. Today, we’re happy to show you a red-band trailer for the movie that shows off a lot of the wacky stuff that’s been brought over from the book. Especially, the look at a monster made of meat. Taste the Soy Sauce below!

Here’s the synopsis for John Dies at the End:

It’s a drug that promises an out-of-body experience with each hit. On the street they call it Soy Sauce, and users drift across time and dimensions. But some who come back are no longer human. Suddenly a silent otherworldly invasion is underway, and mankind needs a hero. What it gets instead is John and David, a pair of college dropouts who can barely hold down jobs. Can these two stop the oncoming horror in time to save humanity? No. No, they can’t.

The picture stars Paul Giamatti, Chase Williamson, Rob Mayes, Clancy Brown, Glynn Turman, Doug Jones, Daniel Roebuck, Jonny Weston and Fabianne Therese.  Look for John Dies at the End on demand starting December 27th with a theatrical release on January 25th.
