Hey Towelites! Time to round up all the latest news and rumors from the Marvel movie universe!
We are only a day away from the premiere of the first Iron Man 3 trailer, but for those of you who CANNOT wait here is a trailer for the trailer and our first look at footage from this highly anticipated film!
Official Synopsis:
Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. In boring legal affairs of the Marvel cinematic universe,there is a rumor floating around that Natalie Portman will be forced, in terms with her contract to return in Thor: The Dark World to reprise her role as Jane Foster. This rumor definitely is in line with prior news of Portman being upset when Patty Jenkins, originally in talks with Marvel to direct the movie and was actually introduced to Marvel by Portman, was given the cold shoulder when the studio decided to go with Alan Taylor. Portman signed a contract to appear in several Marvel movies including the original Thor. I guess Marvel is all about forcing actors to hold up their end of the bargain, look out Hugo Weaving!
Many fans are questioning what Loki’s role will be in the sequel, or if he was going to be in it at all! Here is a tweet from Tom Hiddleston confirming that he was on site when the latest filming was going down in Iceland:
“Sometimes the answer is to climb the nearest mountain and everything is better. Literally. Not a metaphor. #iceland.”
Time will tell if he will be friend or foe this round!
Joss Whedon loves to rehash his actors/actresses from his other hit series and IGN asked one of our favorites, Summer Glau (Firefly, Dollhouse), about her feelings on appearing in the new SHIELD TV show:
IGN: So I’ve got to ask… Your buddy Joss [Whedon] has a new TV show percolating, and he’s been known to make use of your talents in several projects. So is that something you’ve had any conversations about? And do you think you’d look good in a S.H.I.E.L.D. jumpsuit?
Glau: “Well, I have my fingers crossed behind my back. I try not to say anything to Joss about anything he’s doing because he has so many actors, and I know we all want to work for him. So I don’t know, but if I could be a part of it in any way, of course, you know I want to”.
