Most movies that take place around pyramids can be pretty creepy. Stargate had those weird aliens, The Ruins had killer plants, and Silent Hill had a dude with a huge sword with a pyramid for a head. Not to be outdone, The Pyramid is trying to take the genre to a new level.
The film is being produced by Alexandre Aja (Haute Tension) and looks like it could be a pretty creepy time. History would show us, that pyramids = scary.
The ancient wonders of the world have long cursed explorers who’ve dared to uncover their secrets. But a team of U.S. archaeologists gets more than they bargained for when they discover a lost pyramid unlike any other in the Egyptian desert. As they unlock the horrific secrets buried within, they realize they aren’t just trapped, they are being hunted.
The Pyramid is due out December 5th. The film stars Ashley Hinshaw, James Buckley, Denis O’Hare, Christa-Marie Nicola and Amir K.
