My friends and I were talking about the first Hobbit film, and how it didn’t feel like a real Peter Jackson movie. It didn’t have the heart of Lord of the Rings, but as we were all watching Dead Alive; it didn’t even feel like any of his other movies either. It simply felt like a kids movie with far too much CGI.
It doesn’t mean I’m not excited to see The Desolation of Smaug. I have a feeling it will be far better than the first film, and with the inclusion of Legolas again, I can feel my geekly goosebumps rising every time I see new footage.
