The Secret Service is one of my most anticipated films of next year. Matthew Vaughn has always been a fantastic director, and I read everything that Mark Millar creates. With The Secret Service we have Colin Firth as an spy agent uncle who takes his unruly nephew, played by Taron Egerton, under his wing. They will face off against Samuel L. Jackson in the film; but they have also announced that actress Sofia Boutella will be co-baddie.
This is the first Hollywood role for Boutella. It’ll be interesting to see her role in the film, and I have the best faith in Vaughn that the film will turn out great. He has a way of getting new actors to go on to bigger things. Chloe Grace Moretz and Aaron Johnson in Kick-Ass, and especially Daniel Craig from his role in Layer Cake.
The Secret Service opens November 14th, 2014. The film stars: Colin Firth, Taron Egerton, Michael Caine, and Samuel L. Jackson. There will be cameos a-plenty from David Beckham, Sir Elton John, and Mark Hamill. The movie is directed by Matthew Vaughn based off the comic from Mark Miller and Dave Gibson.
