Joker is a hard man to take down. The Clown Prince of Crime was able to secure the #1 spot at the Box Office for the 2nd weekend in a row by taking in another $55 million. Pretty fantastic numbers when you consider that after only a couple of weeks the film has earned over $540 million Worldwide. Joker now marks as the highest grossing films for star Joaquin Phoenix and direct Todd Philips. 

The other debuts this weekend didn’t hold up much competition, despite their being three new films to come out. The Addams Family, Gemini Man, and Jexi all premiered in 2nd, 3rd, and 8th positions respectively. Addams Family didn’t do horrible by taking in $30 million, yet Gemini Man’s earning of $20 million was downright abysmal. Jexi, well, who really cared to begin with? Next weekend, we’re going to be seeing some tough completion for the King of Comedy. The Kevin Smith-directed Jay and Silent Bob reboot hits in the middle of the week on October 15. Taika Waititi‘s latest, Jojo Rabbit, will bound into theaters at the end of the week along with sequels Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and Zombieland: Double Tap.
