The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey took top spot at the Box Office again this weekend! Peter Jackson and company’s return to Middle Earth has served to be a reminder that people still want fantasy in the world and will pay good money to see it. The Hobbit could get thrown off to #2 by Christmas though, as Quentin Tarantino‘s Django Unchained, will most likely take top position.

The rest of the Top Ten was rounded out by Tom Cruise‘s, Jack Reacher, the new Judd Apatow flick, This is 40; and Rise of the Guardians and Lincoln. Though, The Hobbit is putting up good numbers, it’s doubtful it will ever come close to last years, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and especially not Avatar. We’ll see how it goes with Django, but given Tarantino’s track record, it’ll no doubt put up some decent numbers during this holiday season.
