Star Wars: The Force Awakens continues to dominate the Box Office, as it brings in another $41.6million; and takes the #1 position for it’s 4th straight week. The film also made it’s debut in China and took in $53mil; and made it he biggest premiere in that country on a Saturday/Sunday weekend.

Here the in States, the other big debut was The Forest starring Natalie Dormer. The low-budget thriller had horrid reviews, but it was able to bring in $13.1mil. Given that the movie MAYBE cost $20mil, it definitely opened strong and will probably warrant a direct-to-streaming sequel in the near future. The rest of the Top Ten are below.

1. Star Wars: The Force Awakens $41.6 million

2. The Revenant $38 million

3. Daddy’s Home $15 million

4. The Forest $13.1 million

5. Sisters $7.2 million

6. The Hateful Eight $6.4 million

7. The Big Short $6.3 million

8. Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip $5.5 million

9. Joy $4.5 million

10. Concussion $3.1 million

No doubt, Star Wars will continue to destroy the competition. The movie is already at #3 overall, with just Titanic and Avatar standing in the way. It’s worldwide total earnings are $1.73bil and it shows no signs of stopping until mid-Febuary when we see Deadpool debut. How much will the film make next week, find out in the next edition of Weekend Roundup.
