Marvel and Disney are continuing to make big money at the Box Office as it premieres it’s 3rd movie in 2018 this past weekend with Ant-Man and the Wasp. The film came in with $76 million domestically and a Worldwide haul of $160 million. While this is slightly behind projections of what the film was estimated to bring in, Disney said it’s still very happy with the earnings. Heck, the first movie only made $55 million it’s first weekend, so they’ve gotta be pumped up with these results.

The other premiere of the week was The First Purge. The film cost $13 million and has made over $31 million since it’s July 4th release. Should we expect to see more films set in that universe? All dollar signs point to yes! See the rest of the Top Ten below.

1. Ant-Man and the Wasp $76 million

2. Incredibles 2 $29 million

3. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom $28.5 million

4. The First Purge $17.2 Million

5. Sicario: Day of the Soldado $7.3 million

6. Uncle Drew $6.6 million

7. Ocean’s 8 $5.3 million

8. Tag $3.1 million

9. Won’t You Be My Neighbor? $2.6

10. Deadpool 2 $1.7 million

Next weekend, we have the releases of Hotel Transylvania 3 and Skyscraper starring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. It’s likely the latter will dethrone Ant-Man from the top of the Box Office given that whatever The Rock touches usually leads to Box Office gold.
