John Slattery‘s Roger Sterling might just be my favorite character on Mad Men. He doesn’t have the emotional depth of Don Draper, or the inner turmoil of Pete Cambell, or even the pinache of Joan Harris; what he lacks in all those things, he makes up in being the most humor-filled and easy-going character on a show that focuses more on it’s characters troubles, than with the “swinging” of the 60’s we heard so much about.

Slattery is bringing that humor to season 4 of Netflix’s Arrested Development. Details are not known to what his role will be, but he has been signed for multiple episodes.  Will he be a Never-Nude? Maybe a magician. Maybe an inmate with George Bluth. Who knows? Who cares? He’s on one of the most funny shows ever made; and after seeing his stint on 30 Rock; I know Slattery is up for the job.

Also, joining this year are Workaholics stars: Anders Holm and Adam DeVine. Ron Howard is also stepping out from behind the camera as the show’s Narrator, to play an unknown part. In an interview with MTV, Howard went on to say,

“It’s been away for a while, and part of the fun that Mitch has been mining and exploiting is, what’s new to discover about these people? What’s delightfully unchanged? He and the writing staff and the actors have a fantastic sense of that. They’re pretty brazen, pretty bold and fearless. That’s what made the show into something that fans really kept alive.”

I can’t wait for next year!
