At NYCC this year, WWE featured a panel on it’s upcoming horror films, See No Evil 2 and and the upcoming, Leprechaun: Origins. On attendance at the panels were: WWE Studio President Michael Luisi, See No Evil 2 directors Jen and Sylvia Soska, Leprechaun: Origins director Zach Lipovsky, and WWE Superstars Glenn “Kane” Jacobs and Dylan “Hornswoggle” Postl.

Jacobs wanted to further explore his character of Jacob Goodnight, and see where the See No Evil franchise goes. I remember watched See No Evil and having extremely low expectations and being pleasantly surprised. It was dark and humors and filled with inventive death scenes. The Soskas want to bring back that creativity in the new flicks.

[box_light]“ {the} kills are all very original. It’s stuff you’ve never seen in anything. We get to really develop these characters and make you care for them and then horribly murder them.”[/box_light]

Leprechaun: Origins will be a reboot on the franchise. Postl has never seen the other films, but is happy to be joining the new film. “I play this happy jovial character on TV and to do a complete 180 and be killing people is great,” added Postl. Luisi is aiming for a Hard-R rating, with the film expected for a 2014 release.

They showed off little footage from the new films, mostly focusing on the other characters. The directors wanted to keep what the characters look like a mystery, for now. As more news comes down on these WWE Horror Films, Stay Tuned to DFAT!
