I’ve been pretty excited to see Oz the Great and Powerful since I saw it’s first teaser last year for SDCC. As we approach it’s March 8th premiere, Disney is showing off a ton of new featurettes for the film. Today, I’m happy to show you the latest spot that gives us a ton of new footage and some behind-the-scenes of the makeup and direction of the film.
Sam Raimi has already assembled a great cast with James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, and Michelle Williams; but the new featurette shows that he’s got a amazing crew to help him with the film as well. My favorite part of the footage below is hearing effects-wizard and long-time Raimi collaborator, Howard Berger, talk about how Raimi wanted a “big, scary, mean witch” for the film. Can’t wait to see how it all turns out!
